Oracle of Filth 18x24” charcoal and conte on paper. 2025
I conceived this piece five years ago in a small sketch, and this final piece started out as a rough sketch of that initial idea. It came together in a seven-hour sitting, seamlessly. A figure stands center frame, held tightly around the waist by a tight metal band, holding a small horned serpent seems to gaze down on it solemnly while carrying a severed head as a crown. The heads are bound together with a shroud, as well as a staff driven through the eyes of the head tied to the horns. Of the main figure.
Arrives in temporary frame for protection, lightweight. Signed.
