11×14’ Archival Matter Giclee Print
Sin Eater. 11x14” oil on canvas. 2025.
- Within a cool toned image, a figure in profile features a snarling face with a long tongue extended, horns sweeping back over a cloud of pale hair. Four arms frame themselves around the torso, and horned breast arc upwards, uninviting appendages on an otherwise female appearing body. The body becomes a nest of curling black snakes where the legs would have been. The entire figure seems to be floating in some kind of liminal space. This space was inspired by the boney cross section of a horn, the pockets of darkness once birthing blood cells and cradling sweet marrow, now cold and empty. The painting is cool toned with heavy tonal contrast and low hue saturation.
